I felt an incredible sense of gratitude for the article on transcendental meditation (Rites of Passage, April). I have shared that for a long time, and United Church ministers and members have mostly respected that need in my life’s spiritual journey.
It is extremely fortunate that The Observer is willing to include articles reflecting a wide range of spiritual experience, at the risk perhaps of annoying many of its members.
