Word of whom?

(In response to Where’s Darwin?)

Congratulations to Drew Halfnight for his crisp essay on Darwin’s place in Canadian education (Education, September). As Halfnight points out, Canadians seem to harbour an innate aversion to discussing evolution because someone within earshot might be offended. As a consequence, we don’t push to increase evolution in our science curriculum.

I suggest that The Observer distribute Halfnight’s essay to departments of education in every province.
